Description: 1/2 Day Upper Naranjo River “Chorro” (Jan 10 – April 15)
Exploding from the hills, just 35 minutes northeast from the Quepos / Manuel Antonio area, breathe the start Costa Rica’s best commercial run .. “Chorro”! This section of the River starts in the mountain village of Esquipulas.

Our route carves deep into the river’s exposed bedrock, making this thrilling section of the Naranjo River an exception to the geological youth of Costa Rica. This 3km canyon delights the adventure seeker with fun drops and steep runs through 12 technical narrows.

Prepare yourself as you will bounce, weave, and squeeze through the gorge’s tight rock walls, massive boulders, and unforgettable chutes. Within the 2-mile stretch, we will tackle rapids such as, “Tail of the Dragon”, “Asteric && Obelisk”. Between runs, we have the opportunity to witness untouched tropical forest yielding various species of birds such as the Chestnut Mandible Toucan, Aracaris, and several kinds of Kingfishers.

This unique and challenging river offers a first-hand look at the beautiful nature and brut force of Costa Rica outdoors. This section of the river offers Class IV & V rapids. Enjoy the rush!

What to Bring: Sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses (with strap), small waterproof camera, change of clothes.

Savegre River – Full Day


$145 Adults & $145 Children
Description: Savegre River (We offer this tour Year Round.)
Consider one of the cleanest rivers in Central America; the Savegre is an authentic full day adventure including pure action and fantastic landscapes. This adventure starts with an airconditioned transfer to the Quepos area (from Jaco Beach area: 1hr) where you will check-in.

After checking you will drive south of Quepos through African oil plantations, teak reforestation projects, and incredible landscapes to the river put-in. On the way there we stop at Santo Domingo mountain village to set our lunch order. Soon after, we will arrive at Rio Blanco, where we’ll give a safety briefing before we begin.

We stop for a short hike and a nice swim at a waterfall on the river shore. A kilometer downriver is lunch (Costa Rica Casado). Before the end, we hit “Santo Domingo” rapid, and then the river tames down until we meet with our minibus. We will load the gear and is a 50-minute drive back to Quepos before 3 pm.
